A few month ago I had yet another first when I was given the opportunity to photograph Stacy & Michael’s traditional Serbian wedding. Since the Serbian Church was in the process of being built, the wedding was held at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Since Serbian weddings are filled with rituals and tradition it was the longest wedding ceremony I have ever photographed. What was so amazing and awesome about the whole ceremony is the fact that I got to be up front the whole time and was able to really get all the key moments. While initially I felt a little self conscious about being basically up at the altar(photographers usually have to stand toward the back of the church during the wedding ceremony), I quickly got over that when I started snapping away. I hope I get another opportunity to photograph a wedding ceremony with so many rituals and traditions. What an awesome day! Here are just a few of my favorite photographs of the beautiful couple and their amazing wedding day!
