As mentioned in a previous post, I am a huge fan of fellow artist and dressmaker Maria Elena Bishop of Romantic Creations Bridal. Maria was born to create beautiful dresses for women. She made her first dress for her doll, with a scrap from an aunts dress, at the early age of seven. Her story is so fascinating and she is certainly one of Nashville’s best kept secrets! It’s always so pleasurable to see Maria’s new creations. I find myself drooling over the lushness of the fabrics she uses, as well as the uniqueness of each design and think it’s virtually impossible to pick a favorite dress. Maria and I are kindred spirits when it comes to wedding gown aesthetics, as we both love dresses that have a vintage flair but are still very modern. The awesome news is you don’t have to be a bride to have a dress made by Maria. In addition to custom wedding dresses she also makes dresses for mother-of-the brides, flower girls and cocktail/evening dresses for special events…so you too can indulge in one of her stunning creations!
