Every couple desires to have the perfect wedding.  What that means to everyone can vary greatly.  Last year all weddings I photographed took place in one location.  These weddings have without a doubt become my favorite to photograph.  In my opinion, the simplicity of logistics provides to a more relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for the couple getting married, the bridal party, family and guests.  With this being said, one of the many things that made Heather & Emerson’s wedding day so memorable was that fact it took place at their own home.  A few months prior to the wedding we did their engagement session at their home as well, which was equally enjoyable.  Because the engagement session and wedding all took place in a space that has significance to Heather & Emerson, I believe that was one of the reasons I was able to capture such intimate, organic and timeless moments from their life.  It gives me great pleasure to share Heather & Emerson’s Fine Art Album from their beautiful wedding day!  Congratulations to you both! I know you are going to have a beautiful journey together!

Late last summer I was given the opportunity to photograph Rachel’s Bat Mitzvah at Congregation Micah.  This was my second Bat Mitzvah to photograph, but first solo attempt.  After shooting weddings exclusively for nine years, I found it to be a welcome change.  Rachel an incredibly sweet, mature and beautiful girl, so she was a breeze to photograph!  Rachel’s little sister Leah was also loads of fun to incorporate in the photos.   It made me smile witnessing their fun loving interaction with one another while being photographed!  Though I knew I would enjoy photographing such an important life cycle event, I had no idea I would enjoy it to the degree I did.  With this being said, I hope to photograph many more Bat and Bar Mitzvahs in the coming days.  Anyway, it pleases me to finally share the Italian Fine Art Album layout from Rachel’s big day!

Last but not least, I want to sing the praises of Diane Kimbrough for her design and coordination efforts.  Diane does such a great job making sure everything goes off without a hitch and she is incredibly pleasant to be around!  Her contact information is diane@dianekimbrough.com or you can reach her at 615-804-8438.

Nothing says radiant and gorgeous more than the image of a bride with a big, beautiful smile on her face the entire day of her wedding!  This was the case with Caroline on her big day and when I recall the events of the day in my mind this is the image I see.  And you know what they say about smiles…they are indeed contagious.  Such was the case upon Lee seeing his beautiful bride for the first time.  Talk about a photographer’s dream!  Caroline and Lee’s wedding celebration occurred this past fall on a pristine, October day at Hillwood Country Club!  In addition to seeing how families and friends celebrate with the newlyweds, it is always so fun to see the different ways a couple incorporates their personalities and style into the wedding day elements.  A few of the fun ways Caroline and Lee did this was by having New Orleans themed elements like a Mardi Gras King Cake (instead of a traditional wedding cake), had Louisiana cuisine and departed to jazz music while guest waved white handkerchiefs that had the couple’s names and wedding date printed on them.  As is the case with all weddings the day passed quickly.  It is my hope Caroline and Lee enjoy reliving their day when viewing their fine art wedding album as much as I enjoyed documenting their day and putting together this beautiful final presentation!  Congratulations Caroline and Lee…may your journey together be long and fulfilling!
